Klamath Camera Club Meeting
April 19, 2010 Minutes

Steve Spencer welcomed everyone.

We would like to give a congratulations to the following members for: Sherry Hall – Award of Merit in the smaller size entry for 4 C’s February competition

John Morrow – Honorable Mention in the smaller size entry for 4 C’s February competition.

Also if you are interested in being a judge please contact Steve Spencer.

Everyone was e-mailed a copy of the by-laws. There are a couple of areas that are vague and need to be more detailed out. This was discussed that there will be some changes to the verbage and more detail given in Article V for clarification. The majority voted to accept with changes to come in the future. Another Board meeting will be held in July per Steve Spencer.

Ed Seelig requested that we have a membership list for the bylaws but it was voted down and a membership list will be available to members who are organizing field trips. This list will be created by Dave Allgeier or Steve Spencer. A list will be provided next month so those who don’t mind having their information given out can put there name on it.

Gregg Waterman is working on a competition for our club to critique each others work. Really critique the image and be honest but not harsh. Give positive criticism.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and we hope to see you May 17, 2010 at 6:30 pm. Have a great week!

November 2008 Meeting Notes

Website

Chuck reported that the content management system was upgraded because the old one was no longer being supported.  The server has been moved to Utah which should enable the site to move a little faster. The calendar is a little different, a tutorial is coming. Members’ should not expect any changes of login procedures, access or functionality but everyone should log on just to ensure that their login is still current and to check out the changes!

User Group Meetings
The first user group meetings were held this month and both seemed successful.

8 people attended the Nikon group held @ Leo’s
•    Discussed Nikons in general AND spent some time talking trash about Canon users (perhaps a challenge or contest is in order for the two groups?)
•    The next Nikon meeting will be Dec 1st @ 6 p.m. @ Leo’s. The group will be watching a DVD

9 members and 4 guests attended the Canon group @ Basin Digital Imaging
•    Discussion centered on where the group should begin and what users would like to get out of the meetings.  There are a lot of beginners so the group has agreed to start at the beginning.
•    Next meeting will be December 10th @ 6 p.m. @ Basin Digital Imaging (800 Klamath Ave)

Olympus group also met during this month
•    No further report from the Olympus group
